धोखा देना आजकल आम बात हो गई है। रिश्तों में पवित्रता नहीं रही, ईमानदारी नहीं रही । जब तक स्वार्थ रहता है ,लोग आपसे जुडे़ रहते हैं । मतलब निकल जाने के बाद लोग आपसे मिलने से भी कतराने लगते हैं ।
कवि कहता है कि, शायद मैं उसे ठीक तरह से पहचान नहीं पाया, परख नहीं पाया । यह भी हो सकता है मुझे झूठा आभास हो रहा होगा कि वो मेरे पास है, इसीलिए शायद वे लोग आज मेरे आस-पास कहीं नजर नहीं आते ।

Dodging is a common practice nowadays. There is no purity in relationships, not honesty. As long as selfishness remains, people are associated with you. After going out, people start cutting from you even when you meet them.

The poet says that, perhaps I could not recognize him properly, he could not be tested. It may also be that I have a false impression that they are with me, that is why those people may not be seen anywhere near me today.
